“Fight Back and Win”
Begin to Declare to the devil “You can’t touch this!” It’s Hammer Time—remember M.C. Hammer’s song
Pull out your Spiritual arsenal, all of your weapons, prepare for the battle to Fight and Win.
Gather your Weapons from God:
*Weapon of Praise to God
*Weapon of Worship to God
*Weapon of the Word of God
*Weapons of Prayer and Fasting
*Weapon of Faith
*Weapon of tongues (pray both with tongues and with understanding)
Use your weapons to cast out demons in the name of Jesus
Stop waiting for God to do for you what He equipped you to do for yourself. God has given us these Spiritual Weapons to fight back and win.
Decree and Declare that it’s hammer time over your Life, health, family, church, community, nations. It’s Hammer time over every area of your life. Jeremiah 23:29 “Is not my word like fire,” declares the LORD, “and like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces? Jesus Delivered people from bondage, oppression, sickness/infirmity. We as Believers are to Deliver people as well. There is a time for prayer and there is a time to command and cast out. We need to become knowledgeable about Deliverance in Scripture. Biblical Knowledge is necessary. Hosea 4:6 My people perish for a lack of knowledge….What is a weapon? A weapon is a tool that you use to defend yourself in conflict or battle. I am talking about God’s spiritual weapons, tools, to fight and win.
2nd Chronicles chapter 20 NIV Jehoshaphat Defeats Moab and Ammon. 20 After this, the Moabites and Ammonites with some of the Meunites[a] came to wage war against Jehoshaphat.2 Some people came and told Jehoshaphat, “A vast army is coming against you from Edom,[b] from the other side of the Dead Sea. It is already in Hazezon Tamar” (that is, En Gedi). 3 Alarmed, Jehoshaphat resolved to inquire of the LORD, and he proclaimed a fast for all Judah. 4 The people of Judah came together to seek help from the LORD; indeed, they came from every town in Judah to seek him. 5 Then Jehoshaphat stood up in the assembly of Judah and Jerusalem at the temple of the LORD in the front of the new courtyard 6 and said:
“LORD, the God of our ancestors, are you not the God who is in heaven? You rule over all the kingdoms of the nations. Power and might are in your hand, and no one can withstand you. 7 Our God, did you not drive out the inhabitants of this land before your people Israel and give it forever to the descendants of Abraham your friend? 8 They have lived in it and have built in it a sanctuary for your Name, saying, 9 ‘If calamity comes upon us, whether the sword of judgment, or plague or famine, we will stand in your presence before this temple that bears your Name and will cry out to you in our distress, and you will hear us and save us.’
10 “But now here are men from Ammon, Moab and Mount Seir, whose territory you would not allow Israel to invade when they came from Egypt; so they turned away from them and did not destroy them. 11 See how they are repaying us by coming to drive us out of the possession you gave us as an inheritance. 12 Our God, will you not judge them? For we have no power to face this vast army that is attacking us. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you.” 13 All the men of Judah, with their wives and children and little ones, stood there before the LORD.
14 Then the Spirit of the LORD came on Jahaziel son of Zechariah, the son of Benaiah, the son of Jeiel, the son of Mattaniah, a Levite and descendant of Asaph, as he stood in the assembly. 15 He said: “Listen, King Jehoshaphat and all who live in Judah and Jerusalem! This is what the LORD says to you: ‘Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s. 16 Tomorrow march down against them. They will be climbing up by the Pass of Ziz, and you will find them at the end of the gorge in the Desert of Jeruel. 17 You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the LORD will give you, Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the LORD will be with you.’”
18 Jehoshaphat bowed down with his face to the ground, and all the people of Judah and Jerusalem fell down in worship before the LORD. 19 Then some Levites from the Kohathites and Korahites stood up and praised the LORD, the God of Israel, with a very loud voice.20 Early in the morning they left for the Desert of Tekoa. As they set out, Jehoshaphat stood and said, “Listen to me, Judah and people of Jerusalem! Have faith in the LORD your God and you will be upheld; have faith in his prophets and you will be successful.” 21 After consulting the people, Jehoshaphat appointed men to sing to the LORD and to praise him for the splendor of his[c] holiness as they went out at the head of the army, saying: “Give thanks to the LORD, for his love endures forever.” 22 As they began to sing and praise, the LORD set ambushes against the men of Ammon and Moab and Mount Seir who were invading Judah, and they were defeated. 23 The Ammonites and Moabites rose up against the men from Mount Seir to destroy and annihilate them. After they finished slaughtering the men from Seir, they helped to destroy one another.24 When the men of Judah came to the place that overlooks the desert and looked toward the vast army, they saw only dead bodies lying on the ground; no one had escaped.
25 So Jehoshaphat and his men went to carry off their plunder, and they found among them a great amount of equipment and clothing[d] and also articles of value—more than they could take away. There was so much plunder that it took three days to collect it. 26 On the fourth day they assembled in the Valley of Berakah, where they praised the LORD. This is why it is called the Valley of Berakah[e] to this day. 27 Then, led by Jehoshaphat, all the men of Judah and Jerusalem returned joyfully to Jerusalem, for the LORD had given them cause to rejoice over their enemies. 28 They entered Jerusalem and went to the temple of the LORD with harps and lyres and trumpets.
29 The fear of God came on all the surrounding kingdoms when they heard how the LORD had fought against the enemies of Israel. 30 And the kingdom of Jehoshaphat was at peace, for his God had given him rest on every side. The End of Jehoshaphat’s Reign. 31 So Jehoshaphat reigned over Judah. He was thirty-five years old when he became king of Judah, and he reigned in Jerusalem twenty-five years. His mother’s name was Azubah daughter of Shilhi.
32 He followed the ways of his father Asa and did not stray from them; he did what was right in the eyes of the LORD. 33 The high places, however, were not removed, and the people still had not set their hearts on the God of their ancestors.
34 The other events of Jehoshaphat’s reign, from beginning to end, are written in the annals of Jehu son of Hanani, which are recorded in the book of the kings of Israel. 35 Later, Jehoshaphat king of Judah made an alliance with Ahaziah king of Israel, whose ways were wicked. 36 He agreed with him to construct a fleet of trading ships. After these were built at Ezion Geber, 37 Eliezer son of Dodavahu of Mareshah prophesied against Jehoshaphat, saying, “Because you have made an alliance with Ahaziah, the LORD will destroy what you have made.” The ships were wrecked and were not able to set sail to trade.
Acknowledging the Lord in Prayer is the Key
Jesus said in Matthew 6:9 “This, then, is how you should pray: “‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name,10 your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” Jesus said this is how we are to pray. Not vain mindless repetition of these words but the principles and unlocked power behind these words. Look at Vs. 10 we are to pray for the Kingdom of God to come and for God’s will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. (Search the Bible for a description of heaven and what goes on in heaven) this will give us indications of what to pray about. God’s Word is His will. It is not God’s will for people to die prematurely, to run and hide and shrink back in fear, to settle in and be comfortable with the demons that are destroying His people because of lack of knowledge, fear of spiritual growth and confronting the enemy. The enemy is not your mother, father, sister, brother, son, daughter, cousin, aunt, uncle, neighbor, friend, coworker, boss, pastor. Satan is the enemy, he has an entire militant army of principalities and spiritual wickedness working around the clock to kill, steal, and destroy your mind, faith, health, finances, home, church, business, community…your life.
God has a more superior Army (we also are soldiers in the army of the Lord) with an arsenal of weapons that are guaranteed to win but we must use the weapons to fight and win. Jesus Christ is our Commander and Chief. Our Victory is already secured but you still must fight back. Second Corinthians 2: 11 in order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes. If you are Saved you have been given Authority to war in the spirit in the name of Jesus and win. Basic training or special forces. Trembling knees or flexing muscles. Loud or soft spoken. Fight back and win. Psalm 144 (in entirety) Psalm 144:1 Praise be to the Lord my Rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle.
The devil is real, this is undeniable and evident by the sin, wickedness, evil, destruction, devastation we see in the world we live in. Jesus dealt with this topic extensively. Many Believers have prayed and prayed for years to be delivered and free from evil devices that continue to plague them no matter how hard they ‘pray’. There are different kinds of prayers as scripture tells us to pray all kinds of prayers. Ephesians 6:18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people (NIV). Prayer works! Prayer works and there is no doubt about that. The limitations are not on God. Hosea 4:6 my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge. “Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests; because you have ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your children. I consider this scripture an indictment toward the designated spiritual leaders of God’s people.
How can Believers, Christians, Followers and Disciples of Jesus Christ come under bondage? Choices. I was really lost about this until the Holy Spirit led me to “learn about Deliverance”. I know this message is all over the place but I am full of the Holy Spirit’s power and I feel the glory of God on this message. I would have preferred to write it out and try to organize it somewhat but I feel there is a pouring out here and I need to flow with the Spirit because I am totally reliant on God with all of this. I will continue to pray and study the area of deliverance in Scripture. God wants his people set free from fear and torment; free indeed from all forms of bondage and imprisonment. As long as sin is in the world, there will be a need to apply God’s Word for deliverance to occur.
Salvation is the key but what happens after people are Saved; God’s people need awareness of the indwelling Holy Spirit and to be taught how to walk out God’s plan for their lives. Yes, our sins are forgiven but what about the consequences of our choices. You may choose to go rob a bank or brutally attack someone, will God still forgive you? Of course God loves you and will forgive you. Thank you Jesus and Glory to God for your grace, mercy, and forgiveness but you still may face the consequence of your action such as legal consequence jail time. Do you know that God has a legal system also. There is a deeper reason that scripture calls for us to obey God. There are spiritual principles created by God. But, what about those who are saved yet still in various bondages. The area of spiritual warfare and deliverance cannot be ignored. Thank God for the ministries that are operating in this area and are functioning under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. If what you are experiencing in your life does not look like heaven, you need to go deeper. I believe that in this era God is calling His people to go deeper into healing and deliverance. Jesus is our perfect example. God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. There are different dispensations but the same God.
The Greatest Commandment. Deuteronomy 6…3Hear, O Israel, and be careful to observe them, so that you may prosper and multiply greatly in a land flowing with milk and honey, just as the LORD, the God of your fathers, has promised you. 4Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is One. 5And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.…Matthew 22:37 Jesus declared, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ Mark 12:30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ John 14:15 If you love me, you will keep my commandments (Instructions).
Joshua 24: 14-24 14 “So fear the LORD and serve him wholeheartedly. Put away forever the idols your ancestors worshiped when they lived beyond the Euphrates River and in Egypt. Serve the LORD alone. 15 But if you refuse to serve the LORD, then choose today whom you will serve. Would you prefer the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates? Or will it be the gods of the Amorites in whose land you now live? But as for me and my family, we will serve the LORD.”16 The people replied, “We would never abandon the LORD and serve other gods. 17 For the LORD our God is the one who rescued us and our ancestors from slavery in the land of Egypt. He performed mighty miracles before our very eyes. As we traveled through the wilderness among our enemies, he preserved us. 18 It was the LORD who drove out the Amorites and the other nations living here in the land. So we, too, will serve the LORD, for he alone is our God.”19 Then Joshua warned the people, “You are not able to serve the LORD, for he is a holy and jealous God. He will not forgive your rebellion and your sins.
20 If you abandon the LORD and serve other gods, he will turn against you and destroy you, even though he has been so good to you.”21 But the people answered Joshua, “No, we will serve the LORD!”22 “You are a witness to your own decision,” Joshua said. “You have chosen to serve the LORD.” “Yes,” they replied, “we are witnesses to what we have said.”23 “All right then,” Joshua said, “destroy the idols among you, and turn your hearts to the LORD, the God of Israel.”24 The people said to Joshua, “We will serve the LORD our God. We will obey him alone.”
We need to accept and receive the Deliverance from demons, evil spirits, oppression, bondage that Jesus made available and secured for us. Deliverance is a part of salvation through Christ. Obedience to God is key. We cannot enter the Kingdom of God without obedience. We had to obey God in order to get saved.
Through knowledge the just can be delivered (taken from Proverbs 11:9). I personally do not believe that a Blood Washed Believer can be demon possessed however I do believe that a Believer can be under demonic influence, attack, or oppression from the devil’s deception, schemes and tricks. So why should we not sin since we will be forgiven as Believers? Obedience is better than suffering (bondage, oppression). God’s laws take precedence over everything. Man made laws approving sin may be enacted but this does not change the truth and reality of God’s instructions to his people. Disobedience, willful, habitual, persistent disobedience is not God’s will or plan for us.
Disobedience brought about the curse. Please stop deceiving people by preaching and teaching the glorious message of grace to the exclusion of obedience to God.
Grace enables us through the power of the Holy Spirit to follow Christ. Grace is not a license to sin and true repentance is much more than a casual, “Lord I’m sorry please forgive me”. True repentance is changing your way of thinking and choosing to obey God; to stop willful sinning, living ungodly in habitual disrespect and to live a life that pleases God. God is faithful and just to forgive us and to cleanse us…….Our Father knows what is best, all throughout Scripture we are instructed to Obey God. God does not contradict Himself. We are saved under the new covenant of Jesus Christ and we still need to obey God. This is not a legalistic message of the Law or sin consciousness. This is the Word of God for His people. For every choice there is a corresponding consequence. Let’s choose wisely and appreciate the love of God, appreciate His kindness, goodness, compassion, faithfulness, and tender mercies.
We are called to fight back Ephesians 6: 10-18, we can quench every fiery dart of the wicked one. Isaiah 54:17 lets us know that weapons will be formed, word curses spoken against us, Satan is the accuser of the brethren, we are to condemn it, this is our heritage, it’s what belongs to us “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.”. We are spiritual beings in a physical body. If you are skeptical about this you must understand the realm of the spirit to fully grasp the reality of the spirit world and our fight. There is no need for a military system if there is no real threat or enemy. Satan mimics everything that God does; the Bible talks about God’s heavenly hosts, and angel armies. We must remember that 1/3 of the angels were kicked out with satan. During Jesus ministry when He cast out demons, the people only saw the madman—they did not see the demons in him causing his madness. We also must look closer, deeper, beyond the natural into the spiritual.
Social Work and Nursing both taught me to look at things through a multidisciplinary lens a biopsychosocialemotional perspective. The Holy Spirit taught me to apply this same principle to ministry. Demons and evil spirits can attack the Believer in a similar way. This is where spiritual discernment is essential. I felt that this subject matter was way over my head, like God don’t you think you need to have some of your spiritual generals discuss this. God wants all of His Believers geared up and strengthen to fight back and win. Regain territory for Jesus. To understand why we must avoid sin, to understand that yes—God is faithful to forgive us, that yes we are saved by grace—that yes we have the keys of the Kingdom—yes there are spiritual doors that we can open and close—yes sin is a door, an unsuspecting invitation for the enemy. God wants every member of His Kingdom to be knowledgeable, to understand that yes—our Salvation is secure but the enemy does not stop because we are Saved. We must remember that, “the thief comes” to kill to steal and to destroy.
It is time to go beyond the surface, the superficial and to take a deep dive into the things of God, His fullness. The absolute love of the Father compels us go deeper. It is time to break off religious traditions and embrace the move of the Spirit. It is heart wrenching to see true churches and ministries close, fold under the pressure, wither, draw back or disappear completely. Scripture informs us clearly that we are in a spiritual battle. David is described as a man after God’s heart yet he was a man of war. God is described as man of war Exodus 15:3 The LORD is a man of war; the LORD is his name. Here is Exodus chapter 15 NIV but you’ve got to check out chapter 14 verses 13-16 to gain the perspective that the Lord wants us to fight, to respond, to activate our faith in our deliverance. This is really good. I get so excited about God’s Word and His deep love for His people. It’s really amazing. God is such a good Father from Old Testament to New Testament. Here is a beautiful picture of deliverance from bondage.
DELIVERANCE——————————-Be DELIVERED, BE HEALED AND BE SET FREE—————-DELIVERANCE
The Song of Moses and Miriam
Exodus chapter 15 Then Moses and the Israelites sang this song to the LORD:
“I will sing to the LORD,
for he is highly exalted.
Both horse and driver
he has hurled into the sea.
2 “The LORD is my strength and my defense[a];
he has become my salvation.
He is my God, and I will praise him,
my father’s God, and I will exalt him.
3 The LORD is a warrior;
the LORD is his name.
4 Pharaoh’s chariots and his army
he has hurled into the sea.
The best of Pharaoh’s officers
are drowned in the Red Sea.[b]
5 The deep waters have covered them;
they sank to the depths like a stone.
6 Your right hand, LORD,
was majestic in power.
Your right hand, LORD,
shattered the enemy.
7 “In the greatness of your majesty
you threw down those who opposed you.
You unleashed your burning anger;
it consumed them like stubble.
8 By the blast of your nostrils
the waters piled up.
The surging waters stood up like a wall;
the deep waters congealed in the heart of the sea.
9 The enemy boasted,
‘I will pursue, I will overtake them.
I will divide the spoils;
I will gorge myself on them.
I will draw my sword
and my hand will destroy them.’
10 But you blew with your breath,
and the sea covered them.
They sank like lead
in the mighty waters.
11 Who among the gods
is like you, LORD?
Who is like you—
majestic in holiness,
awesome in glory,
working wonders?
12 “You stretch out your right hand,
and the earth swallows your enemies.
13 In your unfailing love you will lead
the people you have redeemed.
In your strength you will guide them
to your holy dwelling.
14 The nations will hear and tremble;
anguish will grip the people of Philistia.
15 The chiefs of Edom will be terrified,
the leaders of Moab will be seized with trembling,
the people[c] of Canaan will melt away;
16 terror and dread will fall on them.
By the power of your arm
they will be as still as a stone—
until your people pass by, LORD,
until the people you bought[d] pass by.
17 You will bring them in and plant them
on the mountain of your inheritance—
the place, LORD, you made for your dwelling,
the sanctuary, Lord, your hands established.
18 “The LORD reigns
for ever and ever.”
19 When Pharaoh’s horses, chariots and horsemen[e] went into the sea, the LORD brought the waters of the sea back over them, but the Israelites walked through the sea on dry ground.
20 Then Miriam the prophet, Aaron’s sister, took a timbrel in her hand, and all the women followed her, with timbrels and dancing. 21 Miriam sang to them:
“Sing to the LORD,
for he is highly exalted.
Both horse and driver
he has hurled into the sea.”
The Waters of Marah and Elim
22 Then Moses led Israel from the Red Sea and they went into the Desert of Shur. For three days they traveled in the desert without finding water. 23 When they came to Marah, they could not drink its water because it was bitter. (That is why the place is called Marah.[f]) 24 So the people grumbled against Moses, saying, “What are we to drink?”25 Then Moses cried out to the LORD, and the LORD showed him a piece of wood. He threw it into the water, and the water became fit to drink. There the LORD issued a ruling and instruction for them and put them to the test. 26 He said, “If you listen carefully to the LORD your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the LORD, who heals you.”27 Then they came to Elim, where there were twelve springs and seventy palm trees, and they camped there near the water
God wants His people delivered from bondage, addiction, infirmity, oppression, depression, poverty mindset, defeat, ungodly spirits of bitterness, unforgiveness, rejection, rebellion, Leviathan(Pride), the list is extensive. We must unfold our arms, roll up our sleeves, and be about our Father’s business of Deliverance. This is a real need both within and without the Body of Christ. Deliverance is needed to Advance the Kingdom of God. We, Believers-Disciples of Christ-Followers of Jesus, have a Responsibility as a victorious people. Notice what God said to Moses after Moses told the people do not be afraid, stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. Next Moses made a prophetic declaration that the Egyptians you see today you will never see again. Now notice what God said to Moses—God is speaking to us today this same message.
Now Exodus 14: 13-16 (NIV)—This shows how we work in partnership with the Lord. We are soldiers in the army of the Lord. We don’t sit by idly, tight lipped, twiddle our thumbs, kick up our feet and do nothing. “It sure is a beautiful day out today, I’m going to sit here and let the Lord fight all my battles”. This has been an area of deception to the Body of Christ. We use our God given weapons and we wage war on the enemy. We cannot stand by and watch the thief kill, steal, and destroy. I believe God has given us tactical insight into the thief’s strategies so that we can fight from the right Position. 13 Moses answered the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the LORD will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. 14 The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still.”
15 Then the LORD said to Moses, “Why are you crying out to me? Tell the Israelites to move on. 16 Raise your staff and stretch out your hand over the sea to divide the water so that the Israelites can go through the sea on dry ground. Oftentimes we like to focus on verse 14, the Lord will fight for you, you need only be still. But the Holy Spirit drew my attention to verses 15 and 16 where God gave Moses’ instructions to fight back and win. The one word that stands out the most is “Tell”. Speak a prophetic word to move on. Then verse 16 Today we can raise up our glistening razor sharp sword and stretch it out over every area of our lives; our sword is the Word of God.
John 1: The Word Became Flesh 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. Now it’s clear why the Word of God, Scripture, Bible is living, alive because Jesus is the Word made flesh. When we pray the Word to the Father in the name of Jesus we come into agreement with the fullness of God we partner with the Holy Spirit. It is all about Jesus from Old to New—Jesus Christ.
When we pray in the “Name of Jesus” we need the revelation of all that this entails. It is the name that is above every name-Jesus. At the name of Jesus every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that He is Lord. There is no greater name. Jesus is our legal name, it is in the name of Jesus that we gained the Authority of the Believer. Our understanding and agreement with the full extent of the Name of Jesus is where the power is. Some people say they prayed in the name of Jesus and did not get results. The results are guaranteed based on God’s will and His Word is His will. Simply saying the name will not produce results. Understanding and agreeing with the full revelation of the Name of Jesus is what gets results. It’s not a ready made formula E=mc2.
You see to agree with the Word means to agree with all of it. It’s not a have it your way on your day kind of thing. You agree to the fullness of it, you have to eat the whole roll, eat the entire scroll. We all enjoy the parts of Scripture about blessings and promises of God but connected to this is the rest of the scroll. We must eat (consume, chew, break down, swallow, digest, and expel) the Word of God. In nursing school we studied the entire digestive system extensively. I would think, okay enough already, I get it you eat and expel. But no, we had to go deeper, we had to identify every facet of the digestive system from the connection to the brain, mouth, all the anatomy and physiology, from the beginning to the end—from consumption to expulsion. We had to understand all the components of the gastrointestinal tract, the digestive tract. The hollow organs such as the mouth, esophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine, and anus. The solid organs such as the liver, pancreas, and gallbladder.
We had to know the detailed functions of each of these organs of the digestive system and the purpose of the digestive system as a whole. The digestive system allows us to break down the food we eat to obtain energy and nourishment.
This is a picture of how it is in the spiritual when Ezekiel was told to eat the whole scroll. God’s Instructions require that we follow them as He has given them. We cannot follow the instructions we prefer and ignore the others. We must follow Instructions from Genesis to Revelation and the revelation the Holy Spirit brings to us. The revealed Word of God. We have been saved by grace through faith in Jesus, thank God for His grace. God’s grace is what allows us to accept and to follow God’s instructions. The same God who is merciful, full of tender mercies and compassion is the same God who hates sin. God’s Word is our energy, life and nourishment. 4 But Jesus told him, “No! The Scriptures say, ‘People do not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God Matthew 4:4 NLT.
No one likes to talk about sin, sin is the very thing that opens the door for demonic activity in our lives. If the 5 fold refuses to talk about sin the Body of Christ will suffer. Sin must be dealt with on a deeper level than “do not sin”. There should be whole schools of the Spirit on sin and its ramifications and deliverance. Sin is the reason Jesus gave us deliverance through salvation. I didn’t understand why recently the Holy Spirit began to deal with me about Deliverance. I have been in public ministry since 2006 and have always been concerned, even troubled, that some people did not receive breakthrough in areas of their lives where prayer has been applied. I thought, what is the missing link. The people said they received Jesus as their Lord and Savior, repented of their sins, read and studied the Bible, Prayed in faith, etc. however there were these areas they could never break free of. Hence, the need for deliverance.
There were these repeated cycles that affect individuals, families, ministries that hindered people from walking in the freedom of the Lord. We need the knowledge that the Lord gives us in His Word by revelation of the Holy Spirit. The Bible talks about us being able to quench every fiery dart. I thought, but Lord what are the fiery darts? What are the weapons of the enemy? How are we deceived? What causes bondage? The power of life and death are in the tongue and they that love it will eat the fruit thereof Prov. 18:21.
God has given the Believer the authority to speak life or death. James 3: 5 Likewise, the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark. 6 The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole body, sets the whole course of one’s life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell. This is written to Believers. 8 but no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.9 With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse human beings, who have been made in God’s likeness.
10 Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be. 11 Can both fresh water and salt water flow from the same spring? 12 My brothers and sisters, can a fig tree bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Neither can a salt spring produce fresh water. 13 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. 14 But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. 15 Such “wisdom” does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. 16 For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice.17 But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. 18 Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness.
Ephesians 4:27 tells us not to give the devil a foothold into our lives. This makes me think about a robber trying to push his way into your house. If you leave your front door cracked the robber can push and pry the door open wide enough to get a foothold inside, once the robber gets a foothold he can apply more pressure to gain entry and even invite his friends to join him. If he gains entry he can steal, kill or destroy but if you keep your door shut and sealed the robber cannot gain a foothold; he may still try however the alarm will be triggered (discernment) and you will be able to resist, defeat, and destroy him and his friends. Do not give the devil a place. He’s not to be invited to sit at your table and does not belong at the table God has prepared for you. We are talking spiritual here. You are not fighting with your neighbor, family, friends, etc.
Our battlefield is our mind. We tend to speak what we are thinking. You can tell a lot about a person ‘s thought life from their conversation. I typically don’t talk about the devil and his evil strategies because I choose to spend my time giving God praise, adoration, and Worship. Then praying in the Spirit. Sitting and talking with my Friend Jesus. Then we discuss business (the Father’s Kingdom business). I enjoy listening to His voice. Smiling thinking about how much He loves me, loves us all. I enjoy thinking about when He returns and heaven and eternity and the New Jerusalem a New Heaven and a New Earth. King of kings and Lord of lords. 1 Timothy 6:15-16
This message is an entire book in the making I am aware that it is disorganized but the focus is the process involved in receiving your deliverance. Matthew 6:6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. A. revelation I received here is, ‘shut thy door’ and ‘deliver us from evil’
You might think this does not apply to you but God’s Word is always applicable. Maybe there is someone you know who may benefit. The Bible discusses doors (quite a lot) , gates, walls. Jesus referred to himself as the ‘door of the sheep’. Joh 10:7 So Jesus said to them again, “Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep”. Exodus 12:23 For the LORD will pass through to smite the Egyptians, and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the LORD will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you. There are numerous references to the ‘door of the tabernacle’. Jesus teaches in Matthew 6:6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. Matthew 7:13 Go in by the narrow door, for wide is the door and open is the way which goes to destruction, and great numbers go in by it. Matthew 7:14 for narrow is the door and hard the road to life, and only a small number make discovery of it.
Matthew 23:13 “How terrible it will be for you, scribes and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the door to the kingdom from heaven in people’s faces. You don’t go in yourselves, and you don’t allow those who are trying to enter to go in. Matthew 24:33 In the same way when you see all these things, recognize that He is near-at the door. Matthew 25:10 And while they went to buy, the bridgegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. Luke 10:9 Cure the sick in that town, and tell them, “The Kingdom of God is now at your door”. John 10:1 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. John 10:3 The door keeper opens the door for him, and the sheep hear his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. Acts 12:6 And when Herod would have brought him forth, the same night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains: and the keepers before the door kept the prison.
Acts 12:10 And when they had gone past the first and second watchmen they came to the iron door into the town, which came open by itself: and they went out and down one street; and then the angel went away. 1 Corinthians 16:9 For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries. Jude 1:4 For certain people have crept in unnoticed (just as if they were sneaking in by a side door). They are ungodly persons whose condemnation was predicted long ago, for they distort the grace of our God into decadence and immoral freedom (viewing it as an opportunity to do whatever they want), and deny and disown our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.
Revelation 3:7-8 “To the messenger of the church in Philadelphia, write: “The one who is holy, who is true, who has the key of David, who opens a door that no one can shut, and who shuts a door that no one can open, “says this: I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou has a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name. Revelation 4:1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter. Revelation 19:11 Then I saw a door open in Heaven, and a white horse appeared. Its rider was named “Faithful and True”-being One who in righteousness acts as a Judge, and makes war. Revelation 21:21 And the twelve doors were twelve pearls; every door was made of one pearl; and the street of the town was clear gold, as clear as glass.
I want you to consider the following open or cracked doors that the enemy can come through and invade your life. God’s Word has a remedy for every cracked door. Seal up all your windows and doors with the Word of God; this is your ultimate security system. The Holy Spirit will teach you what security measure to use for every entry point to secure your doors and keep demons out. If you are Saved- a Believer, demons cannot just enter into your life they must be given legal access or an open door. You need to be knowledgeable about access points, entry ways, and open doors. Following are some ways that demons and evil spirits gain entry into the life of the Believer:
